“Please come home” - parents plea as search for local teenager continues
There has been an outpouring of love and hope online during the search for 15-year-old Josh Drake, who has been missing from Coonabarabran since Monday, 4 October.
As the search enters its second day, police are appealing for public assistance to help locate the teenager.
The son of Coonabarabran residents, Kodi Brady and Gary Griffiths, was last seen leaving their home on River Road at 10.30pm on Monday night.
Josh was reported missing to police and was last sighted at Coolah on Tuesday morning, however, it is believed he may have travelled to the Maitland area in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer.
Mr Brady said they held concerns for Josh’s welfare as he had medical conditions that required ongoing treatment.
“There’s been no social media activity on any of Josh’s accounts, and no phone or bank activity,” Mr Brady said.
“He might be around the Newcastle area, so I would ask everyone to please keep an eye out for Josh.
“And to Josh, we love you!
“Please come home or please call us if you get your phone charged.”
Mr Brady said he was appreciative of the support and assistance from the public to help locate his son, and encouraged people to continue to share the information throughout their networks.
“Please, someone find our boy,” Mr Brady said.
Josh is described as being about 180cm tall, of slim build with brown hair and brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants.
Anyone who may have seen Josh or has any information are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
