'wattle' magazine is right around the corner...

Our new magazine 'wattle' is the first of its kind in the Warrumbungle region – a luxurious print publication with a focus on creativity, culture and community in the bush. 

We believe that that regional media is making a hard-earned comeback, and people in rural areas are eager for, and deserving of, quality, innovative journalism to reflect the thriving communities in which they live.  Like the resilient native flower from which it takes its name, 'wattle' is vibrant, beautiful and uniquely local.While the Coonabarabran Times has us covered for all the latest weekly news, 'wattle' is about slowing down, taking things in, and stopping to smell the ... wattle, as it were. 

Our first issue will be arriving in early Spring 2022, and features a diverse range of talented writers, photographers and creatives from all across the region. 'wattle' is brimming with glorious imagery and remarkable stories – some you've never heard before, some you'll want to hear again and again.  

The magazine will be available to purchase both as a physical printed edition and a digital version via the Coonabarabran Times website. A full list of retailers stocking 'wattle' is coming soon.
