Unicorns announce dynamic coaching lineup for 2024
Three months out from round one of the 2024 Castlereagh League competition, Coonabarabran Unicorns Rugby League Football Club has unveiled its coaching lineup for the upcoming footy season, promising an exciting and competitive year ahead.
Youth League
Frankie Capewell will take the helm as Ladies League Tag coach in 2024.
The experienced and energetic coach is ready to impart his wealth of knowledge to the talented group of women.
Capewell is enthusiastic about the upcoming season and invites interested players to join training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm at Coonabarabran’s No.1 Oval.
First Grade
For the First Grade squad, the dynamic coaching duo of Jarvis Watton and Will “Buddy” Robinson will take the reins.
Both coaches bring a wealth of experience to the table and are gearing up for an exciting season.
Training sessions will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm at No.1 Oval, maintaining the tradition of past seasons.
In addition, the team is gearing up for a trial game against Narrabri, to be held ahead of the season opener in Coolah on Saturday, 20 April.
Youth League
Tim Evans has been appointed Youth League coach for the 2024 season.
Evans encourages all interested players to participate in a run at No.1 Oval on Thursday afternoons at 6pm.
The goal is to assemble a strong and competitive team for the upcoming season.
Evans urges everyone to spread the word and join the excitement by coming down to the oval.
Coonabarabran Unicorns’ president, Steve Walton said with these seasoned coaches at the helm, Coonabarabran Unicorns were poised for a remarkable 2024 season.
“Players and fans are encouraged to be part of the action, as the teams gear up for what promises to be an unforgettable year of rugby league,” Walton said.
The 2024 Castlereagh League season is scheduled to officially kick off on Saturday, 27 April, with Coonabarabran taking on Coonamble at home.
