Warrumbungle Shire celebrates NSW Local Government Week
Warrumbungle Shire Council is gearing up to celebrate NSW Local Government Week 2024, taking place from 29 July to 4 August 2024.
Local Government Week presents a unique opportunity for councils throughout NSW to spotlight their extensive array of services and initiatives that extend well beyond traditional functions such as roads, rates, and waste management.
It serves as a platform for residents to explore and appreciate the breadth of services available to them and to actively engage in local decision-making processes.
"This year, Warrumbungle Shire Council is excited to not only showcase the vital services we provide but also to spotlight the dedicated individuals who drive these initiatives within our community," said Warrumbungle Shire Council mayor, Cr Ambrose Doolan.
"We are eager to demonstrate how our Council members and staff contribute tirelessly to enhancing the quality of life for our residents."
Cr Doolan highlighted the community- focused approach of the Council.
"Our commitment extends beyond infrastructure and services; it's about fostering a strong sense of belonging and well-being among our residents,” he said.
“Local Government Week is an excellent opportunity for us to connect directly with our community and to celebrate the collaborative efforts that make Warrumbungle Shire a great place to live."
“Spotlights on services and staff will be released throughout Local Government Week 2024 enabling our community to better understand us and the roles we will play.”
